1. Security Features: When this "Padlock: symbol appears on cheques, special security features have been included.

2. Bleed Through Numbering and MICR Encoding: Is a red halo around serial numbers that penetrates through the document for easy verification. The reverse image of the serial numbers should appear on the back of the document.

3. Chemically Reactive Paper: Protects against alteration by using high polarity chemical solvents. Paper will identify stains that show obvious evidence of forgery attempts.

4. Chemical Toner Anchorage: Is designed specifically to give excellent toner anchorage. It actually bonds the laser toner to the paper fiber surface to prevent its removal.

5. Invisible Fluorescent Fibers and Inks: Only visible under ultraviolet light. Can't be photocopied, scanned or computer manipulated thus ensuring authenticity.

6. Micro Security Printing: Front / Back text printed so small that words and phrases must be verified with a magnifying glass. This fills in when photocopied or scanned.

7. Security Pantograph: Intricate screens, overall standard background and custom designs are designed so they do not copy or scan well at all.

8. Authentic Chain Link Watermark: The watermark is made in the paper at the security mill and shows that the paper is a security controlled document which is only sold to approved security printers.

9. Warning Box: On the back of cheques to encourage verification by cashiers. Explains security features contained in documents to alert handlers and to deter forgers.
